Text release at SQUID and participation in ”Labyrint 09 - Writings and Observations”
During Nov 7, 2009 - March 13, 2010 the SQUID archive will be part of ”
Labyrint 09 - Writings and Observations” at Botkyrka konsthall in Sweden. "Writings and Observations" refers to the artistic practice of writing as a way of seeing, a way of altering the world. This year’s edition will focus not only on artist’s books, but also text art, and the aspects of writing in contemporary art.
In conjunction with the opening of ”Labyrint 09”, Saturday the 7th of November, a new text will be released at SQUID. IC-98 from Finland presents a family album where a partly arbitrary selection of characters, who have influenced the artists’ work, are introduced:

New text: Urban Narratives
In November 2008 Katja Aglert, Janna Holmstedt and I organized a round-table discussion in the context of the SQUID project. The discussion was inspired by the fact that urban and narrative were the most common search words, or themes, used in the SQUID archive. We were challenged by the question how these terms were related to one another and decided to organize a discussion with three experts - Antonio Scarponi, Meira Ahmemulic and Elin Wikström - on the theme "Urban Narrative".
That discussion has been adapted to text by Katja, Janna and I and was part of todays text release at SQUID.

Point of view finalized
After working for two years together with a fantastic team of seven people,
Point of view was finalized in January 2009. Point of view was a dynamic framework, but I felt that my practice was getting too crowded with too many fantastic activities. I am very grateful to Sergio, Antonio, Po, Fredrik, Katja and Janna, with whom I have a had an inspiring time and who have created a diverse, challenging and discursive
archive of great articles.
